Liberians were super excited when the country’s president George Weah posted on his Facebook page that University tuition in Liberia public universities is now free.

The Facebook post didn’t give further details and people have been wondering how the country is going to finance free University education when Ghana is suffering to provide free secondary school education.

George Weah on confirmed on a local radio this morning that his Facebook account has been hacked and all posts made there should be ignored.

“How can we have free University education? This is not possible, at least not now. My account has been hacked and in the process of having it back.” – George Weah said.

Meanwhile, hundreds of University students have used their fees for other stuff upon hearing the news on the free tuition.

One lady told a group of journalists that she used all her fees for shopping and doesn’t know what to do now.
