Visa-Free: Ghanaian passport holders now do not require visa to travel to Iran

The kingdom of Iran has granted holders of Ghanaian ordinary passports visa-free entry to the country.

With immediate effect, Ghanaians who are visiting Iran for the purpose of tourism, business, or stay up to 90 months do not require visa.

Iran has also waived airport taxes and surcharges on travel tickets for passengers flying from Accra who transit in Bahgdad. With waived taxes, fares from Ghana to Iran visa Bahgdad cost below $600.

According to Iranian authorities, this is one of the many measures put in place to promote the country’s tourism.
