Ghana’s ex-president John Dramani Mahama has advised Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari to send funds to the Super Eagles immediately.
Mahama reminded Buhari of Ghana’s Black Star performance during the Brazil 2014 World Cup which was highly influenced by the millions of dollars he airlifted to the players in Brazil.
“If you don’t send them money now, it means they are making no money since they are not playing beyond the group stage” – Mahama said.
Mahama added that though Super Eagles performed poorly, millions of dollars sent to them would definitely yield results.
“We know the performance was poor but send them the money. Let them kiss the dollars and see what happens. Even if they don’t do well, at least they’ve gotten some cash” – the ex-President who has embarked on dozens of health walks told Buhari.
“This is a smart idea.” – Buhari responded
