Patapaa’s VGMA suit auctioned for $15,000

The suit wore by the ONE CORNER hitmaker, Patapaa, over the weekend was auctioned for a whopping $15,000 in a private auction held in Accra.

The oversize-suit designed by COAT VIEN has been the talk of town since the night of the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. The sets record as the only celebrity wear to have made at least three public appearances. The auction was conducted by the RM Sotheby’s auction in Accra. The auction house is a popular firm and has auctioned many rare and special cars, celebrities wears and other collectibles.

The highest bidder of the day, Osei Kwame Despite of Despite Group of Companies, grabbed the suit for $15,000. Despite congratulated other participants of the auction and paid the auctioneers with a post-dated cheque.

Patapaa said the money earned during this auction will be spent on charity and his wardrobe.

Patapaa Amisty, became the topic of discussion on social media after he was spotted in a blue suit and oversized trousers. The apparel of the musician caused massive stir on social media as many internet users teased the singer for wearing clothes that appeared to be bigger than him.
